Horseplay is a spontaneous solo composition created and performed by Jessie Marasa. The work is inspired by the sinuous folds of leaves, the veins and spines of vines, the push and pull of pumping blood, and the release valves of the chambers in the heart. The work is exploring the changing temperaments these images offer to the rhythm of expressive impulse. The piece is accompanied by a sound score created and recorded by Mike Reed and Jason Adasiewicz.
